The Pittsville School District's 4 Year Old Kindergarten program provides a safe and nurturing environment that encourages family involvement and promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.

Mission

Our mission for the 4 Year Old Kindergarten program is to provide developmentally appropriate, hands-on learning experiences to foster each child's individual needs in a language rich, nurturing, and safe learning environment.

Goal

Our goal is to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children with attention to their individual needs and interests.

Curriculum Goals:

1.  To establish play as the primary vehicle of learning.
